 Dr Mike Muncaster returns with a talk entitled ‘Gone for a Burton – the Migration of East Anglian Farm Workers’. Between 1880 and 1930 Suffolk farm labourers went to work in the maltings at Burton on Trent, the ‘beer brewing capital of England’. Mike tells us how they fared.
